Church Staff

Ryan Low – Lead Pastor / Elder

Ryan Low is a Southern California native who received his bachelor’s degree from Biola University and his master’s from Talbot Theological Seminary.  He sees his role playing out in three categories:

  1. Preach the Bible relevantly: passionately and accurately. He truly believes the Bible is God’s authoritative statement on what is true regarding who He is – who we are as humans; and what it means to be saved and find real life in Jesus Christ.  There is no book more important to read.
  2. To be a man of prayer; seeking to love God and to be led by Him. Ryan believes prayer is the best and most powerful thing we can do in life.
  3. To love the people in His church and community – and to help them grow in Christ. Ryan’s great passion is to see lives changed through a relationship with Jesus.  He loves to see people awaken to God and then begin to find the person God has made them to be.  Nothing is more exciting to him.

Ryan is an avid sports fan (USC Trojans, Lakers, 49ers), loves to be outdoors (swimming, hiking, climbing, tennis), loves many forms of music, movies, to find great restaurants in LA, and to spend time with his family. He has been married to Alyssa for 20 years. They have two children, Emily and William. He lives in Sunland.

Monica Wood – Youth Ministries Director
My name is Monica Wood. I have been married to my Husband Brandon since 2005 and we have two beautiful girls. I was born and raised in Southern California and have lived in the Sunland area for the past 17 years. I’ve been working with the youth at Sunland Neighborhood Church since 2016.
It is a privilege to serve the Lord as director over youth ministry. My desire is that each student will come to know the amazing love of God in his/her life. I want to partner with parents to help the students at Sunland Neighborhood Church and beyond become firm in the foundation of their relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you’re new or interested in our youth ministry, don’t hesitate to contact me or introduce yourself to me in passing on a Sunday morning. I look forward to meeting you!
In Christ,
Monica Wood

Judy Luedke – SNC Kids

Judy has lived in the San Fernando Valley for almost all of her life, having moved here when she was seven. She graduated from CSUN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. In addition, she studied education and holds a life credential in elementary education. She taught 5th grade for 26 years at Valley Presbyterian School. She has also been certified as a tutor for students with dyslexia and continues to tutor part time.
As a child, she was introduced to Jesus by a neighbor through a Good News Club (Child Evangelism Fellowship). It was there that Judy committed her life to Christ. She credits consistent Sunday School and Children’s Church programs in her home church for discipling her in her personal walk with Jesus and training her in the knowledge of the scriptures. This has fed her passion for Children’s Ministry both as a career choice and now serving as SNC Kids Director here at Sunland Neighborhood Church. Her desire is that, at every level of our Children’s Ministry, we reflect the love of Christ to every child, and encourage them to build their own personal relationship with God.
Judy has been married to her sweetheart and husband for almost 54 years. They have 3 grown children (6 counting spouses), 7 grandchildren, and 3 greatgrands!

Ginny Chaskey – Office Administrator

Ginny has been living in the Sunland-Tujunga area for nearly half her life. She even went to Verdugo Hills High School as did her husband and son. She worked for 44 years at a Glendale hospital and is now blessed to be serving at SNC, where she’s been attending since she returned to the area in 1996. She really loves the church fellowship and worship and participating in small group Bible studies. These studies help reinforce the sermons and allow her to hear different perspectives, as well as to stay in the Word. If you’ve attended SNC, you may have seen her at the back operating the computer for most Sunday services. She is so grateful for all the beauty around her that God provides and family and friends to share it with. She loves camping, fishing, days at the beach, quilting, crocheting, tole painting, and playing games and spending time with her husband Jim, who, by the way, has been her mate for 46 years.
